I was thinking earlier today, that people don't seem to care that much about other people anymore - only ourselves. We judge each others based on appearences alone; we know who we would and wouldn't like even before we talk to them; we know, just from looking at somebody, that they are worthy of our company or not. I'm guilty of this, and surely you are too, but today can be the day that we turn that around. Go ahead, judge the book by it's cover; but you won't really know if you're into it if you don't read a couple of pages, at least.
In order for us to become friendlier, more gentle people, we must start by embracing the people that come into and out of our lives everyday. Don't be afraid to be nice. Tell the girl you're staring at that she is pretty; even if she thinks you're creepy for saying so. Tell someone special (male/female/mother/father/boyfriend/girlfriend/just a friend) that you love them, and tell them why, and mean it too. Give someone a hug; it might help if you know them, but, if not, that's fine too. Say hello to a stranger; ask them how their day is. Here at the Meadows, we call that "radiating peace"." And we strive to do it everyday. Now it's your turn...get out there and make someone's day a little bit more peaceful.
Todays Meditation: Don't be afraid to radiate some peace.
